Laboratory Overview

There is a critical need to develop better tailored therapeutic approaches to pain, dyspnea, fatigue, or other symptoms. Our laboratory focuses on underlying the peripheral and central mechanisms of the disease and treatments for them. These studies involve the use of animal models, as well as projects in human subjects. The long-term goal of our research is to improve the management for people with a variety of conditions through the underlying mechanisms that lead to the development of disease, and improving the use of currently available treatment.
