Individual differences in sensory experiences are important in the treatment. We are currently examining why women appear to have a higher risk of some pain conditions, and the mechanisms that contribute to the construction of individual differences.
Regular physical activity and exercise is an effective treatment for some symptoms. We are currently examining the underlying peripheral and central mechanisms for how exercise can improve symptoms, and developing better therapeutic approaches.
A clinical prediction rule is a set of variables used to assist in the process of clinical prediction. We are currently examining a prospective clinical prediction rule for physical therapy in patients with cardiopulmonary/internal disease, cancer, orthopedic diseases, and others.
